3D Printing and Digital Designing Samples â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about the 3D Printing and Digital Designing. Answer: Introduction 3D printing works over the digital designing where the model is to create a proper modelling software where the data is generated with the 3D scanner. This helps in working over the blender and handling the slicing which is for the 3D model into different horizontal layers which is important as well. This is also important to force the use of different slicing tools for the 3D printer where the scanner is used layer by layer to work for processing the video. The 3D printing is important for the consumer goods, industrial, high tech services and the health care sectors as well (Campbell et al., 2011). This is through becoming intertwined through the daily operations with the use of 3D printing structures where the company focus on the research, development and prototyping as well. 3D printing also called additive manufacturing This is so mainly because it creates the physical objects from the digital designing. There are different technologies and the materials that could be used for the printing and to handle the digital models that are set to turn into the solid 3-D physical objects by addition of the material layer by layer. With this, for every object, there is a need of printing the documents over the paper where the printing process mainly varies by the technology. This refers to the process of creating the layers of material which are under the computer control to create the objects. Here, the objects can easily be set with the production using the digital model data from the 3D model (Weller et al, 2015). The standards are set for the material which are removed from the stock in the conventional machining process where the AM tends to work from the CAD designing or the AMF files by the addition of the material layer by layer. Is 3D printing better suited for high or low volumes of production It is important to focus on the different production range where the low volume manufacturing could leverage the companies of different side. Here, the focus is on: Lowering the volume with the manufacturing that save the money. It works on the standards when it comes to the cost per unit which is depending upon the materials that is being used. The tools are set with the different range of carbon and alloy steels that are found to be hard, where the low manufacturing could set upto 100,000 pieces where there is a great way to avoid the large investments as well. The larger production of the facilities is mainly imposing the minimised order requirements of offset with the heavy production investments. The low volume also gives a major designing flexibility which is set for the refining of the consumer feedback (Rengier et al. 2010). It also ensures the faster time for the marketing where the high competition is set with the fickle market that leads to the increased pressure on the developers and the designers as well. Hence, the ability to get the market is to capitalise on the consumer trends and work over the ability to develop and reduce the risks factors as well. The option is also for the bridge production where the market is quick and allow the companies to produce the up-front costs and time of mass production as well. Situations where 3D printing important The 3D printing is important for the manufacturing of applications with the focus on mass customisation produced with the based material on the full colour of the 3D inkjet printer. This is also used in the additive manufacturing of the food into 3D objects like the chocolates and the candy etc. The medical applications make use of the 3D printing for the surgery where the virtual planning is mainly applied in the areas which include the creation of the unique and the patient matched devices for rare illness. The bio-printing is also considered to be done through this where the applications are set under the field of research with organ printing, bio printing and the body party printing. The possibility is to use the 3D tissue which is mainly to create the soft tissue for the reconstructive surgery. The industrial applications like the apparels make use for the custom fit and the styling (Lam et al., 2002). This is mainly on-demand customisation of the glasses with the rapid prototyp ing. Here, the industrial art and the jewellery makes use of the personalised models of the art and the dolls. There are different shapes in metal or plastic with the consumable art like the 3D printed chocolates. The construction and the firearms make use of the 3D printing to produce the scale models with the architecture that has the increased stability with the reduced costs of the 3D printers. The applications are to fabricate and work on the entire designing, development of the new technologies as well. Research and investment firms forecast for 3D printing As per the market forecast, the GE plans to work on mass production with LEAP Engine nozzles with the forecasting of the growth by the equity research. The 3D printing works on the acceleration of the product development with customised products with increased production flexibility (Bak, 2003). The improved spare parts managements work on accelerating and offering the customised products. The companies tend to work over the compeititve advantage in the strategy where the predictive standards are to lead with average budget for 3D printing that range from $6132 in 2016 to $9504 in 2017. There is different technology to offer the high-end system features from one factor at the lower pricing points (Schubert et al., 2014). The printer speeds are increased with the product spectrum under the development where the rapid prototyping is set with market research firms. The anticipation changes and predict from the global market for the services that tends to grow from $2.5 billion in 2013 to $16.2 billion in 2018. 3D printing for traditional manufacturing obsolete The 3D printing works on: The waste prevention where manufacturers work over compelling and overproducing the different reasons that results to waste in the long run. This will also allow the production with the proper quantity without any loss. The easy prototype production works on allowing into production with assembling the designs. The focus is on affordable laser cutting machinery is set with working over the specialised computer programs to the system for production. This is set for retooling the production machine in the traditional manufacturing (Leigh et al., 2012). The seamless production works over the automation with the manual input set which is same as in the case of traditional manufacturing. The automation process is set without rigorous manual input. The items are set and categorised with the finished products into the seamless process. The standards are set to prompt the printer with stopping the events and avoiding and production hazards as well. The mass customisation with the customised designs can easily be printed with the larger quantities that is set at the extra cost (Hoy, 2013). Recommendation The 3D printing should work over the advocacy of the technology development where the technology should try to increase the ability of manufacturing and production runs with customised work pieces. The use of the plastic injection modelling is also important for the mass production which is printed on the industrial 3D printers which allow the selling of products with smaller production running at a profit. For this, there is a need to focus on the safety ideals with the strength for the 3D products. This will help in improving the quality and work for a long time as well. Conclusion The 3D printers work over the access to the consumers, with the online platforms to support the community. It includes the websites that allow the users to properly access the information with building the 3D printer (Rayna et al., 2015). With this, there is a major focus on the low-cost manufacturing that allows the decreased cost of transactions. Here, the websites have also been able to allow the greater standards with social interaction between the users and then creating communities which are dedicated to the 3D printing. The question is about the recycling of the advancement nanomaterials with the common based peer production that leads to the economy of scope. References Bak, D., 2003. The Arts and Crafts movement Essay Example
The Arts and Crafts movement Paper In this essay I will describe the Arts and Crafts movement and how it evolved. It began during a period of unrest within Britain in the post-industrial revolution times. The movement served to bring basic crafts, which we take to be artist skills today, to a level of the fine arts of painting. We accept that crafts such as textiles, ceramics, metalwork, jewellery making and woodwork are large areas of art on the same level as painting and sculpture. This did not occur however until the late nineteenth century when the Arts and Crafts movement began. The major influences on this movement were the writings of William Morris and John Ruskin. Not only did this movement do this wonderful thing for the art world it also introduced new themes such as the study of the ancient art of different civilisations such as Japanese, Islamic, and Celtic. The Arts and Crafts movement began around the 1870s and 80s mainly in England. It later filtered into Ireland, the United States and continental Europe. It is not a movement of artists but of architects, jewellery makers, ceramicists and as a whole craftsmen. It was an attempt to reunite the artist and the craftsman. Art had gotten to the stage where it was experiencing the decorative excesses of the nineteenth century and works became a mismatch of styles resulting in them being overly flamboyant and vulgar1. The Arts and Crafts movement cannot be isolated to one specific style as it can be exotic and precious or homely and plain, however, there must be evidence of hand craftsmanship2. The movement served to raise the status of furniture, textiles, metalwork and ceramics from household items to works of art. The period was one of great prosperity and even complacency3. Artists and writers were increasingly dissatisfied with the aims and methods of the art that pleased the public4. There was a search for return to simplicity, quiet beauty and honesty of construction5. Critics of the time were unhappy with the ugliness and inequalities of industrialisation6. Proportion, simplicity of form, fitness for purpose, honesty to materials, the revival of lost craft techniques and the enhancement of natural textures are all elements which, added to hand-craftsmanship, combined to create the Arts and Crafts style7. The period had begun to see things like chairs being mass-produced and all looking the same because a machine had manufactured them with precision and to a given setting. There was no evidence of individuality compared to a carpenters craftsmanship. The character achieved by hand making an object is lost with no evidence of mistakes or flaws in the object. The new movement latched onto the ideal of a society regenerated by the values and skills of craftsmanship8. The workshop was seen as a more harmonious humanitarian place than the factories. With the movement came a desire for novelty or the exotic. This saw craftsmen looking to new areas for inspiration. These areas included the cultures of the west, countries such as Japan. The writings of John Ruskin and William Morris greatly influenced the movement. Ruskin and Morris had hoped that the regeneration of art could be brought about by a return to medieval conditions9. William Morris (1834 96) was an English craftsman, painter, poet, and socialist. He was educated at oxford10. He was an apprentice to an architect and in his spare time he wrote, modelled clay, sculpted wood and stone, illuminated manuscripts, and embroidered11. In 1861 he set up a company called Morris and Co. and they produced wallpaper, textiles, stained glass, tapestries, and furniture12. He also studied under John Ruskin; an art historian who believed that true art was expression of mans pleasure in his work and upheld the medieval period as an ideal13. He also believed that the essence of a human is to produce and be creative in their work and to remove one serves to weaken the other. It was from Ruskin that Morris built up most of his views. Morris captured the basis of Ruskins views when he said that the art of any epoch must of necessity be the expression of its social life, and that the social life of the middle ages allowed the workman freedom of individual expression, which on the other hand our social life forbids him. 14 That is, the rise in industrialisation had prevented the expression of the worker to be part of the piece being created. This occurred because all human interaction with the object had been excluded from the process.

Games and Gambles
Games and Gambles Games and Gambles Games and Gambles By Mark Nichol This post lists and defines words stemming from game and gamble, both of which derive from the Old English word gamen, meaning ââ¬Å"amusement,â⬠ââ¬Å"fun,â⬠and ââ¬Å"joy.â⬠A game is an activity for amusement or diversion, or a scheme or a tactic, and to make game of someone is to mock that person. In the first sense, the word may refer to an activity that has little or no equipment, such as tag, or to a game of chance or skill or a combination thereof- anything from a board game (one with a playing board with a design that facilitates playing the game, such as Monopoly) or a video game (also designed to regiment the procedure of playing the game) to an athletic or intellectual contest. (The second element of backgammon, the name for a particular board game, derives from gamen.) Game also refers to various aspects of competition, such as a manner or aspect of playing (as in referring in American football to a ââ¬Å"passing game,â⬠which denotes a playing strategy focused on passing the ball rather than running with it). In plural form, it pertains to an organized set of competitions, as in ââ¬Å"the Olympic Games.â⬠Game also applies, by extension, to an activity on the analogy of amusement or competition, or as a pursuit that, like most games, has more or less established rules, such as in ââ¬Å"the game of love.â⬠(Game also serves as a synonym for specialty, as in ââ¬Å"Office politics is not my game,â⬠with the connotation that one has no interest in or talent for the referenced activity.) Endgame refers to the latter stages of a chess game or, by extension, to the final stage of an action or process, generally with the connotation of a strategic goal. As an adjective, game means ââ¬Å"motivated or prepared to participateâ⬠or ââ¬Å"spiritedâ⬠(gamely is an adverb that applies to engaging in an endeavor with one sensibility or the other), and gamelike pertains to something resembling or suggesting a game. ââ¬Å"Ball gameâ⬠refers to a sport in which a ball is used, though, by extension, it pertains to any contest or any situation in general, as in the phrase ââ¬Å"a whole new ball game.â⬠(A game ball, meanwhile, is a ball used in a game and awarded to someone as a prize for their contribution to victory in the competition.) Game play refers to an established procedure for playing a particular game. A game face is an expression of concentration and determination shown by a competitor, a game plan is a strategy (the verb form is game-plan), and a game show is a broadcast program in which contestants compete in a quiz or some other activity or series of activities. A game changer (or game-changer) is an element or factor that alters the status quo. A gamer is a person who plays games, though the term almost invariably refers to someone who plays computer or video games. Game is also the basis of a number of idiomatic phrases, which will be discussed in a future post. From the notion of hunting and fishing as an endeavor carried out for amusement rather than or in addition to sustenance, wild animals hunted for both purposes, and the flesh of such animals, are called game. Terms that include game and pertain to hunting or fishing include ââ¬Å"game animal,â⬠ââ¬Å"game birdâ⬠or ââ¬Å"game fowl,â⬠and ââ¬Å"game fishâ⬠(any species of various types of creatures that are hunted), as well as ââ¬Å"game bagâ⬠(a sack for carrying carcasses of birds one has hunted). A game cock is a rooster trained to engage in cockfighting, and a game hen is a small species of fowl, while a gamekeeper is a person responsible for breeding and protecting game animals on a private estate or preserve. A game cart is a small horse-drawn cart, perhaps originally intended to carry game after a hunt. The adjective gamy (or gamey) can pertain to bravery or spirit, but it more usually applies to the smell of game animals or to an unpleasant smell in general, and it can mean ââ¬Å"corrupt,â⬠ââ¬Å"salacious,â⬠or ââ¬Å"scandalous.â⬠To gamble is to play a game or engage in an activity in a game of chance, to bet, or to take a chance. A gamble is an act of taking a risk, or something risky, or the act of playing a game of chance; gaming also applies in the last sense. One who gambles is a gambler, and the activity of doing so is called gambling. A gambling house, also known as a gaming house, is a place where gambling, legal or otherwise, takes place. (Such a location is also sometimes referred to as a gambling den or, from the notion of the addictive allure of gambling, a gambling hell.) A gaming room, meanwhile, is a room used for such purposes, and a gaming table is a piece of furniture, often customized to accommodate game equipment and game play, at which gamblers stand or sit to engage in gambling; a gambling device is a mechanism, such as slot machine, that facilitates gambling. Gambit (ââ¬Å"tactical moveâ⬠or ââ¬Å"topicâ⬠) and gambol (ââ¬Å"frolicâ⬠) are unrelated, as is the sense of game meaning ââ¬Å"lame,â⬠as in the phrase ââ¬Å"a game leg.â⬠Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? The role of women in Japanese Theatre and the portrayal of Japanese Essay
The role of women in Japanese Theatre and the portrayal of Japanese women in western theatre - Essay Example This persona has been carried forward into the Western traditions of portrayals of Japanese females in popular theater which is typified in ââ¬Å"Madame Butterflyââ¬Å". The performance of female parts in most Japanese theater is done by male actors. This tradition in both the kabuki and the bunraki is still primarily maintained today. However, the performance of the gidayu is a tradition that has included female performers since the late 16th or early 17th century (Coaldrake, 1997, pp. 13). The performance of the gidayu is similar to the oral traditions of story telling in the Western traditions. However, it is done in a chanting voice that emotes action and the furtherance of the story through a combination of this chanting and of song. The skill of the performer is measured by how well she engages her audience and helps them visualize the play without an actual visual performance. The performance is accompanied by an instrument that is played by the artist. This tradition is part of the geisha traditions and artistries as well as those who are dedicated solely to this type of performance. Traditionally, The Edo period, running from 1603 to 1868 saw a great deal of restrictions in the activities of all people, but even more so for women. During the late Edo period there were attempts to try and suppress global influences that might subvert the Japanese heritage and traditions. One of these attempts was through the suppression of extravagances in art, which included the public performances by women (Coaldrake, 1997, pp. 12). These attempts, however, were largely unsuccessful as seen through the remaining existence of this type of performance in Japan. The onnagata are male performers who portray female parts in the kabuki. The origins of the all male kabuki as the only kabuki did not occur until the early 17th century when in 1629 females were prohibited from performing. Previous to this time all female

Character Autobiography for an acting class - Essay Example Therefore, I can not work as an active, energetic and lively person. I am perceived to be someone with a lot of health problems, somebody who is worthless and who have no more desire for a romance in his life. Due to my heavy weight my movement is like a chimpanzee. Young children frequently get afraid from me at night and at the same time some children want me to make them sit at my head or shoulder so that they may enjoy the height and the cold breeze of the air at a height of six feet and five inches. My unhealthiness has made me exhausted and sardonic. Due to my heavy weight my movement is like a chimpanzee. Basically my job is to maintain the communication networks that connect people around the country or may be even around the globe. I do not work in the common workshop rather I advertise my number and people get hold of me through my contact number. I am normally hired by everyday people to fix their phones. My job is such that I have to meet a lot of people every day therefore, sometimes I get to engage myself in a fight with some people when they are not paying. As I weigh a relatively large amount thus it is very difficult for me to move, and to climb five flights in order to reach Mr. Paul Bratters' apartment was a real challenge for me. My role of a fat, unhealthy and old-fashioned telephone repair man requires me to be more static. Somehow I managed to climb up to those five sky-high flights and reached Mr. Paul Bratters' apartment. After that I was so exhausted and tired and was trying to catch my breadth; in that struggle, I was unconsciously making a lot of sound. After few seconds the door opened and a beautiful young smart lady appeared in front of me wearing a yellow top with a bushy white fur coat. I introduced myself by saying Telephone Company. The lady in yellow top asked me to step in; I entered with my black leather telephone relay repair kit with spaced contact boards. It is a device for repairing a defective telephone relay without the necessity of disconnecting contact terminals. The contact terminals in the repair kit form part of the original relay structure. The telephone relay repair kit includes a separate replacement relay which has to be placed in place of the original relay coil. It takes a total repair time of ten minutes. I looked at my note book and confirmed by saying, "Paul Bratter. Right"(1). The lady replied,
